If you don't want to go far from the hotel, try Kinacizade Konagi, which is 600 ft away. We loved location and staff. You can get to the bus station within 15 minutes' walk.

It is surely best value. Set short way from a museum and a citadel. Breakfast was served in the lounge area. We were visiting to see museum of anatolian civilizations, which was 5-minute walk from the property...

I loved the hotel's location, which was close to many museums, including the Museum of Anatolian Civilization, which is only a five-minute walk away. Additionally, the hotel is right in the castle, surrounded by eateries. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The rooms were clean and decorated beautifully.
No complaints; my stay at this hotel was fantastic.

The location in the old citadel was excellent and interesting.
There are two roads leading into the citadel and one was closed. It was very difficult to find the other road and the walk from outside the citadel was very steep and hot.

Stayed here for a business trip and was amazed by the comfort and cleanliness of the guesthouse. Located in the heart of the old city walls, the hotel is connected to top attractions including the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations and the citadel. One of the best aspects of the stay was the friendly staff that was always ready to assist me. The breakfast served here was a great variety and tasted amazing. the hotel made my stay stress-free and comfortable.

This charming boutique hotel is located in the old part of the city, near the best museums. The rooms and bathrooms are spotless and have a cozy and old-fashioned look. The staff are gracious and helpful and the breakfast is delicious with a variety of options. There is a living room with a flat-screen TV and a bookcase full of novels and magazines. The hotel is located in a pedestrian area and has a welcoming and photogenic courtyard.
The hotel street door is always closed, so guests have to ring the bell for it to be opened.

Really lovely traditional Turkish home in the old district of Ankara. Within 5 minutes walk of the Anadolu Anatolian Civilisations museum. Breakfast is not buffet but served to you whenever you are ready in the morning - bread, variety of spreads, cold meat slices, tomato with coffee/tea...typical Turkish breakfast (though I don´t recall any fruit served). Reception gave me a bottle of water when my throat was sore and allowed me to use their laptop when I needed access to internet. These small touches were much appreciated. There is wifi in room and satellite tv with english channels. There is a small convenience store and restaurant/cafe next door to hotel (though I did not go to them during my visit).
This is not a problem as such but just be aware this hotel is not within walking distance to any big supermarket or metro station or public transport. To access the city centre district of Kizilay and further districts will require a short (approx 10 TL) taxi ride to Kizilay and then you can access metro/buses to other areas from there.

Stayed during Christmas holidays and enjoyed the festive atmosphere of the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with all the necessary information about the area. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hot water was available 24 hours a day. Additionally, the breakfast was delicious with a variety of options to choose from, and the hotel's key location offered easy access to nearby shops and restaurants.
The hotel was quite challenging to locate without any help. Furthermore, the place was noisy at times, disrupting our sleep. Additionally, the bathroom door in our room didn't close correctly because of a weird design as a closet door, making bathroom visits uncomfortable.

What a charming place! A small, old Ottoman House inside the Ankara castle. My friends and I were totally captivated. Rooms were large and comfortable. Everything was very clean and the staff was the best. Breakfast garden was a cool and colorful patio at the entry. It is a great alternative to noisy, crowded city hotels; very close to the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations and the attractive yet neglected Castle. Great restaurants nearby. Areal treat for people who love authentic, old-fashioned atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The staff was very friendly and the room was beautiful, as was the whole building, including a lovely courtyard to have breakfast in. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We were particularly appreciative that they helped us call a taxi at 2 am. The hotel is in a fabulous location; it was truly unique to have a home away from home right on the Citadel of Ankara - and in the middle of what really felt like a centuries old village, not a modern city.
At times, it was a little hard to communicate with the staff given their limited English. We always managed to figure out what we needed to, but it took some time. Also, we were glad we had asked in plenty of time about how to pay the bill, because we could not use a credit card.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was absolutely incredible, situated inside the walls of an ancient castle in the heart of the old town. It felt like stepping into a fairy tale. We loved being surrounded by local craft shops and being walking distance from two amazing museums. The room itself was beautiful and comfortable, with a sitting area and all the necessary amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. We also enjoyed the convenience of 24-hour room service and the delicious breakfast served in the dining area.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in a historic and touristy area.
